  What visitors say

  Visitors in 2025 are severe: too many food stalls at sharply rising prices (raclette sandwich at 14-17 EUR), little craftsmanship, little decoration and a sloping square with narrow aisles, packed at weekends. A few regulars still find their favorite stalls there.

  Lyon's historic market, best on a weekday - and combined with the Festival of Lights rather than done on its own.

  • Metro A or tram T1/T2, Perrache station; Perrache car park.

  Worth knowing

  • 2025: 21 November to 24 December; Mon-Thu 11:00-20:00, Fri 11:00-22:00, Sat 10:30-22:00, Sun 10:30-20:00.
  • During the Festival of Lights (around 8 December), it closes earlier, in the late afternoon.
