What this site is

MerryHoHo is a set of Christmas guides by country, each written in the country’s own language: who brings the presents and when, Christmas markets and light displays, traditions, recipes, and free printable tools for families. Facts such as dates, opening times and addresses of public events are taken from the organiser or another original source, which is cited on the page together with the year it was last confirmed.

Not affiliated with anyone

MerryHoHo is independent. It is not operated by, endorsed by, or connected to any event, market, shop, brand, postal service or public body mentioned on its pages. Product and company names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify what is being described.

Cultural information

Gift-bringers, dates and local names are described as they are commonly observed. Customs vary by region, community and family — Germany alone splits between the Weihnachtsmann and the Christkind, and several countries have shifted dates in recent years. Nothing here is a ruling on how anyone ought to celebrate.

Photos by other authors (mostly from Wikimedia Commons and Flickr) are used under their free licences; the author and licence are named under each photo, with a link to the original file. Photos may be resized or cropped. Illustrations marked as such were made with the help of AI image tools and do not show real people or real events.

Coloring pages, printables and illustrations made by MerryHoHo are free to print and use at home, in classrooms, libraries and for non-commercial events. Please do not resell them or republish them as your own collection; a link back to the page you took them from is appreciated.
