  For three days in December Hahndorf's Main Street is covered in lights, with trees wrapped in lights and community-made decorations by the Reimagine Christmas group, plus Santa, a reindeer trail, live music and extended shop hours.

  Getting there and parking

  • The organisers strongly recommend public transport (Adelaide Metro) — more than 40,000 visitors came over the three days in past years, so parking is hard.

  Worth knowing

  • Lights come on from 6pm; markets and Santa run from mid-afternoon, so arrive around 3pm and stay for the lighting.
